Donations Through Minato Ward's Furusato Nozei ("Hometown Tax") System

Global Health Innovative Technology Fund (GHIT Fund) is accepting donations from Japanese residents through the Tokyo's Minato Ward’s Furusato Nozei ("Hometown Tax") System. The GHIT Fund is an international organization that supports the product development such as drugs, vaccines and diagnostics for malaria, tuberculosis, and neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), which affect over one billion people. We aim to achieve our vision of creating world health equity. Please use this tax system to support the GHIT Fund.

The GHIT Fund has been registered as one of the public interest organizations which can receive a donation through the “Hometown Tax” system in Minato Ward. If you donate to Minato Ward during the donation period (January to December) and specify GHIT Fund as the fund's recipient, Minato Ward will provide the GHIT Fund with subsidies up to 70% of your donations in the year following the donation period. These subsidies will be used with care in the GHIT Fund's activities, such as investment in research and development of drugs, vaccines, and diagnostics for infectious diseases in low- and middle-income countries.

The Furusato Nozei System is a system for donating to local governments in Japan and only available for individual donors, so please see our Japanese language page for further details.
