We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Rajeev Venkayya as a new Director of the GHIT Fund Board, and Mr. Peter Mason and Mr. Hisashi Shirahata as new Supervisory Board Members.

Dr. Venkayya brings nearly a decade of leadership experience as President of the Global Vaccine Business Unit at Takeda Pharmaceuticals. He has held key positions in global health at the Gates Foundation, the U.S. government, and Gavi. Mr. Mason has over 40 years of international legal and corporate experience, including more than two decades as Global General Counsel at UNICEF. Mr. Shirahata, a Certified Public Accountant with over 35 years of experience, has served as an external director and audit committee member for several Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market-listed companies.

In addition, in line with the expiration of their terms, Prof. Peter Piot (Vice Chair of the Board), Ms. Ann Veneman (Director of the Board), Mr. Hikaru Ishiguro (Supervisory Board Member), and Prof. Ko-Yung Tung (Supervisory Board Member) have stepped down from their respective positions. Following these changes, Ms. Mahima Datla has been appointed as the new Vice Chair of the Board.
